This course provides a comprehensive review of the chain of infection, standard precautions, transmission-based precautions, and the management of multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs) in clinical settings.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the chain of infection and modes of transmission.
- Demonstrate correct donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Implement bundles to prevent CLABSI, CAUTI, and Surgical Site Infections.
- Apply proper hand hygiene and environmental cleaning protocols.
- Manage occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
