A foundational emergency course focusing on recognizing life-threatening emergencies, performing CPR, and using an AED.
Learning Objectives
- Recognize the signs of a person needing CPR.
- Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
- Demonstrate the proper use of an AED.
- Perform effective ventilations using a barrier device.
- Relieve foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for all ages.
Prerequisites
- Valid healthcare identification or student status.
- Physical capability to perform chest compressions.
