Overview

The ACLS course builds on BLS foundations, training healthcare professionals in managing cardiopulmonary arrest and cardiovascular emergencies through simulated cases and didactic instruction. SCFHS-accredited and essential for emergency, intensive, and critical care professionals.

Learning Objectives

Apply BLS and ACLS surveys for patient assessment and recognition of cardiac and respiratory arrest

Recognize and manage respiratory and cardiac arrest with effective airway management proficiency

Effectively use ACLS pharmacology for cardiac emergencies and demonstrate proper medication administration

Function in high-performance resuscitation teams with effective communication and leadership

Manage acute coronary syndromes and stroke protocols according to current guidelines

Requirements


Valid Healthcare License (Physician, Nurse, Paramedic)

Current BLS Certification with CPR proficiency

Basic EKG/Rhythm Recognition skills

Basic Cardiovascular Pharmacology knowledge

Pre-Course completion of self-assessment and course manual review
